Installing InsertKit on macOS

Follow these simple steps to get InsertKit up and running on your Mac.

Step 1: Download

Choose the version that matches your Mac's processor.

macOS 11.0+ required

Important Security Note

Because InsertKit interfaces deeply with the system for text expansion, macOS security gatekeeper may flag it. Please follow Step 2 carefully to allow it to run.

Step 2: Install & Trust

1. Open Terminal

Find Terminal in Launchpad or press Cmd + Space and type "Terminal".

2. Navigate to Downloads

cd ~/Downloads

3. Run Permission Command

Copy and paste the command that matches your download:

For Apple Silicon (M1-M4):

xattr -cr InsertKit-arm64.dmg

For Intel Mac:

xattr -cr InsertKit.dmg

4. Install

Double-click the InsertKit.dmg file you downloaded and drag the app to your Applications folder.
